By week 34 your baby's nervous system and lungs are maturing, and most of their growth now is putting on weight.

- Fingernails now reach the fingertips.
- Weight
- Your baby is filling out with fat.
What you might notice
- Tiredness much like in the first trimester.
- Pressure in your pelvis and more trips to the toilet.
- Blurry vision is worth checking. Sudden changes are in the list below.
- Feeling ready, or not ready. Both are normal.
Call your midwife, doctor or maternity unit today if
- Your face, hands or feet swell suddenly, or you have a bad headache or blurred vision
- You have bleeding, fluid leaking, or regular tightenings or period-like cramps
- Your baby's movements have slowed down or changed
- You have strong itching, especially on your hands and feet
Any time of day or night. You will never be a nuisance for calling.
