About Nuga

Nuga is a personal pregnancy and postpartum companion app. It is designed to help expecting and new parents track milestones, record memories, and monitor health-related information for their own personal use.

Not medical advice

Nuga is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content in the App — including milestone descriptions, size comparisons, affirmations, and suggestions — is for informational and personal record-keeping purposes only.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for advice about your pregnancy, health, or the health of your baby. Do not use the App as a substitute for professional medical care. In an emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

Ask Nuga and AI-generated content

Ask Nuga and the daily "Today's Briefing" card use a third-party AI model (Google's Gemini) to generate answers, suggestions, and summaries based on the information you've entered into the App. AI-generated content is not reviewed by a medical professional before it reaches you, may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, and must never be treated as medical advice or relied on in an emergency.

To generate a response, relevant account context (such as your due date, journal entries, medications, symptoms, appointments, and emergency contact details) is sent to Google for processing. We do not send your insurance policy number or health ID number to any AI provider. See our Privacy & Data policy for details. We are not liable for actions taken in reliance on AI-generated content in the App.

Your account

You may create an account using your email address or through Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be 13 years of age or older to use the App. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your data

You own the data you enter into the App. We store it securely to power the App for you and do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than delivering the App's features to you.

Partner access

The App allows you to invite a partner or family member to view your journey using a single-use invite code. By sharing an invite code, you grant that person access to your pregnancy data as described in the Privacy & Data policy. You can revoke access at any time from Settings.

Premium subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription ("Premium"). Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store on the terms you agree to at the time of purchase. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple. To manage or cancel your subscription, use the Subscriptions section in your Apple ID settings.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access, modify, or interfere with the App's infrastructure or other users' data
• Post content in community features (such as Neighbors) that is harmful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or violates others' privacy, or harass or abuse other members
• Reverse-engineer or copy any part of the App

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any post or reply, and block any member, from within the App. We review reports and will remove violating content and permanently ban the users responsible, without notice.

Intellectual property

The App and all content we provide — including milestone descriptions, design, and branding — are our property or licensed to us. Your personal data (journal entries, photos, session records) remains yours.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, error-free, or that any particular feature will remain available in future versions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
