Getting started — adding your pregnancy
When you open the app for the first time you'll be taken through a short setup: enter your due date, choose a name for this pregnancy profile, and optionally add your baby's nickname. That's all the app needs to begin tracking your journey.
You can add more than one pregnancy profile at any time — useful if you're expecting multiples or want to track a new pregnancy later. Switch between profiles in Settings.
Sharing with a partner or family member
To invite someone to view your journey, go to Settings and look for the PARTNER ACCESS section. Tap + New code next to the pregnancy you want to share. This generates a single-use invite code.
Share that code with your partner — they enter it in their own copy of Nuga. Once they join, they can see your journal entries, kick sessions, contraction sessions, appointments, and milestone progress.
You can revoke their access at any time from the same section in Settings.
Kick counter
Open the Kicks tab and tap the large button each time you feel a kick. The app tracks your session time and counts toward the standard 10-kick goal. When you finish, the session is saved to your history.
If you need to end a session early, tap Stop. Partial sessions are still saved.
Contraction timer
Open the Contractions tab. Tap Contraction started when one begins, then Contraction ended when it finishes. The app records the duration of each contraction and the gap since the previous one.
Your session history shows average duration and frequency — useful information to share with your care team.
Journal entries
The Memory Lane tab lets you write journal entries tagged to the current week of your pregnancy. Add a mood, attach a photo, and write as much or as little as you like. Entries are grouped by week so you can look back at the whole journey.
Milestone notifications
The app can send you a push notification each time your pregnancy crosses into a new gestational week. To enable this, allow notifications when the app asks, then make sure Milestone Notifications is turned on in Settings.
If you dismissed the permission prompt, you can re-enable notifications in your iPhone's Settings app under Nuga.
Night mode
Night mode switches the app to a warm dark theme — easier on the eyes during those 2am moments. Toggle it in Settings under the Appearance section.
Postpartum mode
After your baby arrives, go to Settings and switch to Postpartum in the MODE section. The home screen switches to postpartum tracking tools — feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, growth, and more. You can switch back to pregnancy mode at any time.
Deleting your data
To delete a pregnancy profile and all its data (journal entries, sessions, photos, appointments), open Settings, find the profile in the PROFILES section, and tap the trash icon next to it. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
To delete your account entirely, tap Delete account and data at the bottom of Settings, or email nuga@nugaapp.com with the subject line "Delete my account."
Premium features
The free tier includes all core pregnancy tracking features. Premium unlocks Hospital Bag, Birth Plan, Breathing & Calm, partner sharing beyond one person, and more. Tap Upgrade to Premium in Settings to see the full list and pricing.
To restore a previous purchase, tap Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen after signing in with the same account you used when you first subscribed.
